3D soccer issues PRESS RELEASE announcing 1st 3D Sand Soccer Shootout. "1st Annual 3D Sand Soccer Shootout at Buckroe Beach Hampton, Virginia: 3D Soccer and the City of Hampton, in affiliation with the North American Sand Soccer Championships (NASSC), are pleased to host the 1st Annual 3D Sand Soccer Shootout at Buckroe Beach on May 31- June 1, 2008. The primary purpose of the 3D Sand Soccer Shootout is to create a fund raising opportunity for youth-focused non-profit organizations based in Hampton Roads. Interested non-profits can register with 3D Soccer for free and set up an activity booth at the tournament to raise awareness and funds for their cause. The tournament offers divisions for Under-8’s through Over-30s looking to warm up for the NASSC or just to have tons of fun at the beach. The tournament features three (3) guaranteed small-sided games played in a round robin format where the top two (2) teams from each division advance to the finals. Entry fee is $335 with the registration deadline set for May 2, 2008.
3D Soccer’s mission is to provide soccer experiences that teach and reinforce the skills and traits that help develop great athletes and outstanding citizens. Accordingly, we recognize, respect and greatly appreciate all the work that area non-profit youth-focused organizations do to positively influence young lives. The primary purpose of the 3D Sand Soccer Shootout is to enable 3D Soccer (a for-profit sole proprietorship) to serve as a rainmaker for youth-focused non-profit organizations based in Hampton Roads. Event volunteers are notifying eligible organizations encouraging them to register with 3D Soccer to set up a fund raising activity booth (e.g., bounce house, rock wall, water balloon toss, face painting). It is our sincere hope that players, spectators and other members of the community will enjoy the activity booths set up at the event and as a terrific side effect, will filter funds into participating non-profit organizations."

3D Soccer meets with Art Thatcher (Superintendent of Parks and Recreation for the City of Hampton) and key members of his staff. Owner Kelly Wilson pitches the idea and they love it. A formal partnership is formed giving us the GREEN LIGHT!
